What to include in a takedown notice

To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g. the specific page URL).
4. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

Counter-notices

If you believe material was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) to the same address. A valid counter-notice must include your signature, identification of the removed material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your consent to federal court jurisdiction.

Repeat infringers

ProductIndex will terminate access for users or accounts that are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
